We can provide constructive advice to architects and developers at all design stages of development proposals: concept design, pre-app stage and planning applications.
The purpose of our design review process is to improve the way the built environment of Altrincham town centre works, looks and is experienced by residents, workers and visitors.
Good design does not have to cost more. As a ‘critical friend’ with local knowledge we can help to resolve potential issues, an earlier consultation can avoid potentially abortive work later on. We have a positive working relationship with Trafford Council planners.
The Altrincham town centre design panel can:
- Help improve the design quality of proposed developments
- Provide a sounding board to explore design ideas and concepts
- Help resolve design issues
- Save time by anticipating problems
The panel comprises local architects, planners, developers, academics and residents so we are able to provide a professional and local service that is informed, relevant and realistic.
As a voluntary group there is no charge for this service. Our service is impartial, any potential conflicts of interest with panel members are declared.
